There is a long and proud history of industry in Bristol, and of course was the home and popular building site for industrial engineer Isambar Kingdom Brunel, responsible for the SS Great Britain and Clifton Suspension Bridge. This excellent museum brings together a great many pieces from across the country to illustrate the important industrial changes that have taken place and how they have affected our lives.
