This award-winning museum presents the extraordinary story of Britain’s former empire and its continuing impact. It offers sixteen galleries, special exhibitions, a cafe and a shop, not to mention its own radio studio. The museum is housed in Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s original station building at Temple Meads: a mock-Tudor front for a revolutionary technology. Open every day of the year except Christmas Day and Boxing Day 10am - 5pm. Last admission is at 4.30pm.
