Georgian Bath grew at a phenomenal rate. The fashionable spa needed elegant housing for visitors and residents. The Building of Bath Museum explains its development and looks at the building of a Georgian house from cellar to attic, from masonry to decor. It has a notable collection of tools, fixtures and fittings from the period. The museum is housed in a Methodist chapel commissioned in 1765 by Selina, Countess of Huntingdon. It is an interesting example of Georgian Gothick.
