Church Cove forms the eastern part of Lizard Village and is about a mile east of Lizard Point. It is a cluster of picturesque cottages, including The Mariners which, with others on the Lizard, is unusual in being a three storey thatched building. The now disused Church Cove lifeboat house, built as a private gift in 1883, remains intact. Because of the mild climate of the Lizard, some plants found in this area are unique to the UK, being more associated with warmer areas.
