This Edwardian building was opened to the public in 1910, and has become one of the finest collections of art and history in the region. There are collections on display that cross a broad range of topics; particularly noted are art, history and nature collections. Highlights include paintings by Reynolds, Kauffman, Laroon, Turner and many other eminent names, mineral and other archaeological specimens, as well as a large collection of photography.
