Waterloo House in Clevedon was built in 1829, by a local man, George Somerton, whose family owned it for almost a hundred years. The Grade II listed building is now the town’s heritage centre and is home to a large collection of memorabilia illustrating Clevedon's history. The exhibits include steamer artefacts and numerous old photographs. The centre also has a gift shop which sells local history books and souvenirs. Well worth a visit and admission is free.
