This beautiful little cottage was the rural retreat of TE Lawrence, best known as Lawrence of Arabia. The property was acquired by the National Trust in 1937 and has been preserved as a museum to the life and times of the great man, containing a great many of his personal artefacts. Exhibits allow the visitor to discover the close links between Lawrence and other luminaries such as Thomas Hardy, EM Forster, Robert Graves and John Buchan.
