Coldharbour Mill is in beautiful countryside, but just 2 miles from junction 27 of the M5. It has produced textiles since 1790 and is now a working museum, making knitting wools and fabrics on period machinery. It is also the home of the world’s largest stitched embroidery, the new world tapestry. Complete with its mill-stream restaurant, waterside picnic spots, gift shops, machine demonstrations, water wheel and steam engines, Coldharbour Mill is a wonderful and very different family day out.
