Cotehele Gardens are situated in east Cornwall, on the banks of the Tamar. They form part of the medieval Cotehele House estate, but can be visited separately. Close to the house, the gardens are formally laid out but steep terracing leads to a rich and densely planted valley. The grounds, set in extensive woodland with riverside walks, include a domed medieval dovecote and a Victorian summerhouse. Cotehele is a National Trust property and the gardens are open all year.
