Dart Harbour is one of the finest natural harbours in Britain, and has been used by sailors for almost a thousand years. The harbour is mostly used by yachts and pleasure craft nowadays, but was once an important strategic port of the Royal Navy. The town of Dartmouth is home to the Royal Naval College, and has a long, unique history. It hosts many other attractions, including Dartmouth Castle, which was originally built in 1388.
