The Dolls Museum in Dunster is situated in the Memorial Hall. Mrs Mollie Hardwick began collecting dolls in 1957 and these were gifted to the Hall committee on her death in 1970 so that her collection could form a museum. There are over 1,300 dolls, with around 800 on show. The museum exhibits all kinds of dolls, from those in national costume, to artists’ and fashion dolls and a collection of Sasha dolls in 1913 period dress. A dolls house, furniture and model garden are also on display.
