Across the road from Clevedon Pier you will find a first rate example of one of the town’s specialities – a superb Grade II Listed Doulton drinking fountain. This attractive Victorian feature, set into the wall, was erected in 1895 by Mr T. Sheldon. The tiles are richly coloured in green, brown and white and decorated with flowers, leaves and sea shells, with a dog bowl fitted at the base. The Doulton drinking fountain was restored in 1992 by the Clevedon Civic Society.
