Dunster Castle stables were constructed in the mid 17th Century and are a listed grade II building. Exmoor markets are now held at the stables, being a joint venture between the National Trust and Somerset Food Links. But that’s not all that’s going on here – above the National Trust shop of the old stables lives a colony of around 20 Lesser Horseshoe bats! The bat cam films the activities which can be watched (and heard) on a special screen within the shop.
