This water-powered forge was constructed in the 19th Century and represents one of the few working examples of its type left in the country. As one of the more impressive examples of industrial heritage in the region, the National Trust have taken over the upkeep of the area, preserving for future generations and ensuring that the history is not lost in the mists of time.
