Situated alongside an operational air station, the Fleet Air Arm Museum is one of the ‘must see’ attractions when in the Southwest, housing the largest European collection of Naval Aircraft. See Concorde, Harriers, helicopters and the award winning Aircraft Carrier Experience. The museum also has an adventure playground, shop, licensed restaurant, free parking and disabled facilities. A great day out for all the family.

My day job as a naval journalist means that I get to spend time with the Royal Navy and I have many fond memories of the Fleet Air Arm Museum watching jets scream off the runway and helicopters zip into the sky. The museum is widely considered to be one of the three best aviation museums in the country and I have to say I completely agree. The recreation of an aircraft carrier's control tower (island) is staggering as are the collection of rare and unusual aircraft.
