This peaceful park lies in Bathwick, across the river from the city centre. Opened to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897, it has an interesting variety of mature trees. Behind attractive wrought-iron gates is the calm oasis of the King George V Memorial Garden. Its wisteria-covered bowers overlook a fish pond with water lilies. Now a garden for the blind, it has plants chosen for scent.
