A fascinating combination of three period gardens covering more than fifty acres. Hestercombe is widely acknowledged as one of the ten most important historic gardens in Britain. It included the world-famous Edwardian formal garden designed by Edwin Lutyens and planted by Gertrude Jekyll, arguably the finest product of their collaboration, together with Victorian terraces and shrubbery and an 18th century Arcadian landscape with temples, lakes and cascades set in a secret valley. Also features the restored 17th century Mill and Barn complex. Open all year, except Christmas Day.
