Jordan Hill Roman Temple is a Roman ruin that is located on a hill just above Bowleaze Cove, close to Weymouth in Dorset. The first excavations took place on the site in 1843, finding a collection of coins that suggested the area was inhabitted from the 4th Century. The foundations of a pagan temple were the most exciting discovery, showing a resurgence of pagan tradition in this area during the latter years of the Roman rule in Britain.
