Knightshayes is a beautiful Victorian country house that was purchased by the National trust in 1973. Designed by the eccentric architect William Burges, the house has splendid Romantic and Gothic interiors that have been richly decorated. The house is surrounded by celebrated gardens that include lily ponds, amusing topiary, floral borders and a walled kitchen garden.
