This riverbank is a haven of peace within the tiny, picturesque village of Lerryn, three miles southeast from the ancient town of Lostwithiel. While splendid for a quiet dinner and drink, it is also an ideal starting point for walking, riding or for a boat trip downstream to the town of Fowey. The woods provide beautiful riverside walks throughout the year, are home to a wide variety of birds and other wildlife and are believed to have been the inspiration for Kenneth Grahame's ‘Tales of the riverbank.’
