This extraordinary building enables visitors to sense the atmosphere of the earliest days of Methodism when the ‘room’ was used not just as a preaching house but as a dispensary and a school. Above the chapel are the rooms where Wesley and his preachers lived. Entry to the chapel and the preachers rooms upstairs is free.
