The Isles of Scilly enjoy a mild climate and the main islands boast many fine, sandy beaches. St. Martin’s is perhaps the island with the most beaches, of which one of the best is Par Beach facing south towards St. Mary’s. Because the outer islands are only reached by passenger launch, the beaches are rarely crowded and visitors can find plenty of space to enjoy swimming in the sea, which tends to remain cool even on hot days.
