Penhallam was once a medieval manor house that dominated this area of Cornwall, close to Bude. Today, only the foundations remain, covered in grass, but still clearly visible along with the moat that protected the fortified property. English Heritage manages the property and visitors can learn more about the history of the house and its occupants by reading the informative signs on-site.
