This museum carries an extensive and fascinating history collection that brings to life the way that people have lived in this area for centuries. There is a Victorian schoolroom reconstruction, complete with an actor portraying a strict schoolteacher. Other exhibits include an exhibition that teaches us more about the way people lived in Victorian times, with reference to a range of artefacts. There are particular focuses on innumeracy, artwork and literature.
