The very scenic River Truro is navigable from Truro City until it joins the River Fal near Coombe. Join one of many river trips leaving from the city and explore its secluded river valley teaming with wildlife. Places to stop include the Tregothnan Estate, with its famous tea plantation, Smugglers Cottage and gardens; and the tiny port of Malpas. Other activities include fishing and rowing - the Truro River Race is a popular annual event, which usually takes place in the spring.
