This charming old-world street leads from the main road down to the harbour at Lynmouth. Lyndale Bridge in the distance was completely destroyed in the disastrous floods of 1952 and many buildings along this road wererebuily after serious damage. The floods are recalled in a permanent exhibition hall halfway along this road; extensive remodelling of the river course was carried out to prevent a repetition.
