Along with the town’s two castles, Sherborne Abbey is one of the main attractions to the historic market town of Sherborne. It is a magnificent building, with around thirteen hundred years of history, and well worth a visit. There is no admission charge but a donation is recommended. Each year there is also the Sherborne Abbey Festival, the programme of events for which has proved to be a great success.
