This medieval manor house was acquired by the National Trust in 1959, and is one of the most important buildings of its age in the county. The structure shows examples of varied building techniques from the 1380s to Victorian times. Some of the key features are the battlement turrets, late Gothic windows and the remarkably well-preserved Tudor gatehouse.
