The museum relating to the County of Somerset has a huge variety of things on show. As well as coins, costumes, dolls and other toys, fossils, silver and pottery, there is a large collection of archaeological items. There’s also a fascinating display where visitors can follow the fortunes of the Somerset Light Infantry and study their campaigns across the world. Various special exhibitions are added throughout the year too which include ceramics, textiles and photographs. Admission is free and there are facilities for wheelchair users.
