Offering wonderful views of the Cornish countryside at the top of St Breock Downs, this is the largest and heaviest prehistoric monolith in the entire county of Cornwall. The original height of the stone was over five metres and it is thought to weigh around seventeen tonnes. As with many of the prehistoric remains that are scattered across Cornwall, there is great mystery associated with the object. English Heritage is in charge of preserving the site.
