The Lookout in Clevedon can be located on an incline a little way past the Marine Lake. It was built in 1835 by Ferdinand Beeston. The stone structure, with its fine views, is said to have been used by the Finzel family to sight incoming ships. The Finzels were sugar importers from the West Indies during the mid 19th Century. The Lookout, with its crenulated top and three arch shaped windows, was restored in 2006 by the Clevedon Civic Society North Somerset Council.
