Although the medieval house in Dunster is known as The Nunnery, and was once incorporated into the nearby monastic buildings, it is thought to have been used as a guesthouse for the priory. The Nunnery’s design is quite extraordinary; it has three storeys, with the upper ones completely hung with tiles, and rows of small windows. This rare and unique house, thought to be 14th Century, can be located at the bottom of Church Street and is one of a very few such buildings still remaining in England.
