The waters around Dorset’s Isle of Portland are amongst the finest in the world for sailing and water sports and it was because of this that it was chosen as the venue for these sports for the 2012 London Olympics. A brand new facility, the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy was financed by Olympic and Lottery Grant money and today offers world class sailing tuition and experiences for sailors of all abilities and ages.
