Built in 1776, this corn mill underwent extensive repair in 1994. Although now too fragile to use, the original elm and apple wood machinery is still present. Visitors can enjoy a picnic on the tranquil banks of the River Stour. The nearby bridge retains an interesting sign from the early nineteenth century. It reads, ‘Any person wilfully injuring any part of this county bridge will be guilty of felony and upon conviction liable to be transported for life by the court.’
