Woolacombe Beach is more than two miles of golden sand backed by sandy hills and the Woolacombe Downs. The village of Woolacombe lies at the northern end of the beach. Speed boats and jet skis are prohibited, therefore offering superb facilities for swimming, surfing, windsurfing, sailing and sea canoeing. To get to the beach, take the A361 Ilfracombe road from Barnstaple and turn left at Mullacott Cross roundabout on to the B3343 for Woolacombe.
