I have to say that the community of Yoevilton has truly been swamped by the Royal Naval Air Station nearby, but don't let that put you off. The village is nice with a pleasant church at its centre and there are some nice pubs and restaurants too. For the tourist, however, a visit to the Royal Navy Air Museum is an absolute must. Being an aviation nut, sorry enthusiast, I can spend hours and hours looking at some remarkable aircraft including a flying bedstead and a Concorde. Wonderful stuff.
