Armadale Castle Gardens & the Museum of the Isles are really two fantastic visitor attractions for the price of one. Planted with exotic trees, shrubs and flowers, the 40 acres of gardens are a delight at any time of year. The castle ruins have become part of the garden, including a surreal-looking staircase, once part of the main hall of the castle. Visitors should allow at least a couple of hours to view the Museum of the Isles which offers a clear insight into Scottish history and Clan Donald.
