This award-winning museum was opened in 2002 in order to house the large and growing collection of documents and artefacts that have built up throughout the years with reference to the history of the area. There are six galleries that connect together taking visitors on a chronological tour of the history and culture of this remote area of the country. The last gallery is reserved for a revolving collection that changes annually.
