The Paps of Jura dominate this elongate Scottish island. There are three main peaks, comprised of quartzite. The highest is Beinn an Oir – a Corbett which stands at 785 metres. Perhaps the most attractive facet to these mountains is that their distinctive shape can be seen for miles around. An annual Isle of Jura Fell Race includes the three paps and four other hills.
