Given that the Isle of Skye is one of the wettest parts of Scotland it seemed like a good idea when a couple of local teachers decided to dabble in the brewing industry. And it was! Now the Isle of Skye Brewery produces a range of award winning beers which vary from the dark Black Cuillin ale to the smooth and creamy Hebridean Gold. Adjoining the pier-based brewery is a shop where you can buy the finished product as well as many tasteful souvenirs.
