Learn more about the remarkable geological landforms of Skye at the Staffin Museum. This small community-based museum stands by the roadside in the village of Ellishadder, on the eastern coast of the Trotternish peninsula, near the Kilt Rock. The museum's most famous holdings are dinosaur fossils which were discovered nearby. Cast your eyes over the fossil legbones of a large saruopod dinosaur and a thyreophoran dinosaur (an armored dinosaur that may have been a Stegosauras). There are also artifacts relating to the prehistory and social history of the area.
