In the early years of flight aviation, pioneers used the land to the south of the Doncaster racecourse. During 1914-1918 it was a base for pilot training but this airfield is now long gone. Today a team of dedicated enthusiasts have established a treasure chest of military aviation exhibits and archives. Special events are held during the summer months.
