Dating from 1914, its bold style and prominent location have made this a local landmark. Remembered by many school children for its annual pantomimes, the Alhambra of today is the venue for a wide range of live entertainment ranging from Shakespeare to the Phantom of the Opera. A programme of restoration and repair has kept the theatre up to its original Edwardian quality and quality performers have maintained is standard of productions.
