A fortified tower house once part of extensive family estates. The present day ruins reflect the rebuilding work commissioned by Countess Ann Clifford in 1658 to the 15th Century lodge of ancestor Sir Henry Clifford. Alongside the tower is The Priests House restaurant, itself in an historic building dating from 1515, and nearby the Bunk Barn offering overnight accommodation. Nearby are the famous Abbey, River Wharfe and the recently extended Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway.
