An extensive museum containing a magnificent collection of objects covering the last 200 years with something for all the family. The collection aims to reflect local life and customs and to trace many of the developments in social and domestic life over the period and includes an extensive display of photographs from the Sydney Smith collection distributed throughout the museum. Housed in a handsome Regency residence, the museum is in Pickering town centre close to the North York Moors railway station.
