The Guildhall has a long and interesting history in its own right at the very centre of the community. It was the traditional seat of power for the government of the town from the 15th Century until the late 20th Century. The museum that is housed within the building is dedicated to telling the story of the history of the town, and surrounded by splendid rooms, has many great historical artefacts related to the area.
