An historic gem hidden in the suburbs, Bolling Hall was the home of the Tempest and Bolling families for generations. Dating from the 1500s it was a Royalist stronghold during the Civil War Siege of Bradford. It was extended in the late 1700s but yy the time of the industrial revolution the house had lost its surrounding estates. It became publicly owned in 1912 and has been restored to provide an excellent local history museum.
