Burton Agnes is a beautiful example of several period of architecture in this area of Yorkshire, standing on the edge of this charming village. There is a well preserved and rather rare Norman undercroft complete with a 15th Century roof. The main body of the house is however a brick building dating from the late 17th Century and early 18th Century. This masterpiece of architectural design is managed by English Heritage.
