As one of the most progressive public display spaces in Bradford, Cartwritght Hall Art Gallery, situated within the confines of Lister Park, gives visitors a rare opportunity to view a multitude of different artistic styles, with an ever changing programme of exhibits. Permanent collections are usually on view in the upper galleries and feature an array of 19th and 20th century art. While other galleries are usually reserved for touring exhibitions covering an eclectic mix of art forms. The building itself was designed by Sir John William Simpson opened as an art gallery in 1904.
