This museum is located within Clifton House, a grade two listed building designed by John Carr. The house itself built in 1783 stands within Clifton Park and still retains many original features. Within the museum you will find Britain’s finest collection of the locally-made Rockingham Pottery as well as glassware of South Yorkshire from the 18th and 19th centuries to the present day, Victorian domestic items, natural history and local history.
